Streszczenie
Celem artykułu było przedstawienie schematu postępowania w metodzie oceny wstępnej sytuacji finansowej instytucji finansowych zwanej metodą „sił finansowych”. Opisywana w artykule metoda jest autorską modyfikacją metody „oceny szybkiej” przez M. Iwanicz-Drozdowską. Proponowaną metodę wykorzystano do oceny sytuacji finansowej dwunastu banków funkcjonujących na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Polsce za lata 2009-2010.

Summary
The aim of the article was to present the scheme of the method of initial assessment of the financial situation of financial institutions called the method "financial strength". Method described in the article is the author's mod-ification of the method of "rapid assessment" by M. Iwanicz-Drozdowska. The proposed method was used to assess the financial situation of the twelve banks operating on the Stock Exchange in Poland for the years 2009-2010.
