THE CHANGES OF BUDGET DEFICIT IN POLAND IN 1992–2009

Summary

The budget – and especially the budget deficit has become the major preoccupation of economic policy in the first half of the 1990s. The budget surplus in the excess of the government’s revenues, consisting of taxes, over its total expenditures, consisting of purchases of goods and services and transfer payment.
Government budget deficits that sound astronomical are in prospect for the period through 2000, and the fear is strong that the economy cannot prosper with such a threat hanging over it. So the main aim of this article is an analysis of the budget deficit in the Polish economy between 1992–2009 and also the mechanism of financing the budget with a special role of the public debt.
