FORECASTING OF HOT AND COLD WATER CONSUMPTION IN BUILDING SOCIETIES
Summary
Forecasting of water consumption is signifi cant element of the management in building societies. The main reasons of this signifi cance are the increase of water rate and necessity of advancing it. The aim of the paper was the examination of seasonality and prediction of water consumption. The analyzed variable was split into hot and cold water consumption, total consumption and consumption per capita. The research concerned a few apartment buildings and was based on quarterly data. It turned out that most of variables had linear and diminishing character and only some of them were seasonal. The forecasts for all variables had small ex post errors.
